Default SS Necro for Oro farm

Is there a specific build that works great for this, or should I use the same thing I do for UW?

Thanks for the help.

Well...did a lot of ORO or FA farming runs as an echo-SS, almost same set, except two skills (both are more personal preferences). Forget the UW SS-er, that one has to deal with lot of more nasty things, while SF is a bit smoother and easier to do.

First of all, the skill set, like Bernie M's one, is based on a N/Me combo.

1. Vamparic Gaze
Just in cause you are low on health and the monks are to busy, steal up some health, or to re-top after BR
I think Desecrate is more usefull in UW or PVP. Not that many enemies in ORO quest do have much enchantments on them.

2. Res Sign
Don't leave home without it, your teammates would appriciate.

3. Awaken the Blood
Pump it your attributes blood + curses by 2

4. Arcane Echo
To copy your elite SS, if you have enough energy, you might cast SS four times quick after eachother !

5. Spitefull Spirit {E}
The one and only, cast it on high damage dealer, highest level in mob

6. Blood Ritual
Actually, I don't like the idea of beeing an energy backup for monks, MM's or even Wammo's. If you can't maintain your energy, your build is flawed. However, most prots really wants this, especially in the beginning, the road towards SF.

7. Also personal preference: Suffering
A funny mob degen thing. Instead of waiting for reload of your SS or echo, or wanding an enemy, kill the time casting this.
I think Leech Signet (not leach ) isn't that usefull. To much reload time and you already have Spinal for interrupting.
Some use Price of Failure here, especially for nasty bosses.
Others use the place for Sympathetic Visage to cast on gear holder, but thats more usefull for UW runs.

8. Spinal Shivers
Interrupter. Beware, it only works if you have enough energy *and* you are using cold damage. Make sure one of your weapon sets deals cold damage. Even better, ask other teammates to also equip a cold damage weapon.
Spinal is essential to kill priests or monk bosses.

Ok, how does it work ?
It isn't that hard. The idea is: the warrior takes all the damage and should try to get all in one mob, attacking him and nobody else. So the bonder and healer mostly concentrate in keeping the warrior alive. In SF it's easier, just let him hold the Gear and all will attack him.
Normally, an ORO or FA team consists out of 5 players: Bonder, Healer, MM, SS and Tank. If the monk is good, Bonder & Healer could be combined, but makes it a lot harder. Echo & Awaken costs a lot of energy. Soul Reaping is the answer. Set it high (>10) and because of minions and enemies dying all the time, you have enough energy.

As soon as the warrior rush out to kill, keep out of aggro range of enemies. Cast awaken. Keep in mind this one might last quite long. So casting it before the battle will give you time to regen and to have time to cast the other spells. Let warrior attracks all aggro and wait until a mob is formed around him. By this time, all the nasty strip enchantments and degen casts are called on the warrior, and not on you since you are not in the aggro range. Now, pick a member of the mob, I always choose the closest -'c'- cast arcane echo followed by SS. Next, target high lvl, most dmg dealer and cast the copy of SS on him. You want the ones with SS last the longest, so they deal the most damage to themselfes but also to the others. Therefore, choose another target, that doesn't have SS on him, in the middle of the mob and cast Suffering. When they are starting to attack you, get out of aggro range as much as possible. Spam SS as much as you can. If you time it correctly, you know when Arcane Echo ends.

* Don't Cast SS on minions - they will die to soon to do much harm on the others

* Cast SS on bosses, since most enemies probably located around him and he will not die after a first cast. However, attack boss always as last.

* SS on carvers do have more result then SS on priests. More fun is to cast SS on enemies nearby priests.

* Spinal Shivers is very handy to prevent res. But sometimes a MM needs more corpes. Ressed enemies always has very low health and energy to start, so are easy to kill (and gives you and the MM extra energy). Make sure you and the MM has a good understanding when to start interrupting res. Priests who are ressing eachother are a pain in the rear-end though, try to stop that as soon as you can.

* Don't cast Spinal in the beginning on the bosses, when everyone is targetting someone else. Just in the end when bosses are the only ones left.

* Make sure you have an agreement with MM who brings BR. Double is a waist of skillspace. Normally, the SS has more blood atts, time and energy between or after battles, where the monks need BR the most. Sometimes, a MM needs BR on its own..

* Don't fill up with death skills, the MM wouldn't like it if you steal up his corpses and it will spread you att points to much.

* Don't go for hex removers and all prot/heal-like things, the monks are pretty good equiped for that. Stick to mob-damage dealer & interruptor

* Having a weapon that might speed up reload times is very, very handy.

Ok, thats it, my little guide to Echo-SS in SF. Have fun.

Lol. I like the comments above. I was actually going to ask for one today myself... I haven't played necro enough to come up with one for myself.

Enfeebling Blood is good. An enchantment-stripping skill is nice to remove Mark of Protection, as well.

I use:

Awaken the Blood
Arcane Echo
Spiteful Spirit (E)
Desecrate Enchantments
Barbs
Spinal Shivers
Blood Ritual
Res Sig

16 Curses/ 10 Blood / 10 Soul.

Barbs works great with minions, ~12 extra damage PER HIT PER MINION works great on monk bosses, while Spinal'ing them to interrupt. Goes pretty quick.
